Will medical cannabis make me high?

It doesn’t have to. We recommend a start slow approach until you get your desired effect,and this can mean no high at all.

Do I have to smoke cannabis?

No. Smoking is one method, but we recommend that you take your medical cannabis orally through oils and capsules, or through vaporizing dried cannabis flower¹.

How much medical cannabis should I take?

Dosage is highly specific to each individual and their condition. Talk to your healthcare practitioner or the patient support team at the Licensed Producer, to find the right dose for you¹.

What conditions does medical cannabis treat?

Cannabis has been known to provide relief for a number of conditions, such as chronic pain, mental health, insomnia, epilepsy and more¹.

How does cannabis work?

The human body’s endocannabinoid system’s receptors respond to the cannabinoids in cannabis to create a therapeutic response¹.

What are cannabinoids?

The active compounds responsible for the therapeutic benefits of cannabis are called cannabinoids. The two most known are THC and CBD¹.

What’s the difference between THC and CBD?

CBD has been shown to reduce inflammation, anxiety and seizures, as well as improve sleep disorders – and it has no psychoactive effects¹.

THC has been shown to relieve pain and nausea, improve appetite and reduce muscle spasms. THC can cause a euphoric or psychoactive response.

Is medical cannabis safe?

Cannabis has a superior safety profile compared to many of the medications that are often prescribed for conditions like chronic pain. There has never been a recorded death due to cannabis overdose. Any symptoms will likely be alleviated by a go slow approach to finding the right dosage for yourself¹.

Is medical cannabis addictive?

The answer is, very rarely. Research shows that the potential for cannabis addiction is much less than alcohol, cocaine, opioids and more¹.
